Building on the strongest elements of its previous generation while continuing to evolve, the K2 Afterblack was designed for exceptional durability, classic freestyle flex, and modern maneuverability.

K2 combined a proven construction and design philosophy with feedback from its team riders to develop this new generation of the Afterblack. Team rider Mark Wilson played a key role in refining the tip and tail shape, sidecut radius, transition zone, and camber profile. After extensive testing both on the mountain and in the streets, the latest version of the K2 Afterblack was born.

Designed for intermediate to expert snowboarders, the Afterblack is a medium-flexing true twin featuring a Combination Camber profile. Camber between the bindings provides pop, precision, and control, while rocker outside the bindings adds a playful and forgiving feel. The result is a board that maintains speed and stability while delivering the maneuverability freestyle riders demand.

Its BAP Core combines three wood species — bamboo, aspen, and paulownia — to provide rebound, pop, and vibration damping for demanding landings. The core is wrapped in Triaxial Glass, while Carbon Darkweb™ technology enhances stability, responsiveness, and edge control.
